Healthy 365 Healthpoints Are Not Healthier SG: The Step Order

5 min read

It does not count. Steps logged and Healthpoints earned on Healthy 365 are not enrolment in Healthier SG. That scheme is joined separately, through HealthHub or a participating clinic, and the one step app activity cannot replace is a consultation with a doctor who measures your vitals and helps you write a plan. [1] [2]

Healthy 365 is the Health Promotion Board's motivation-and-rewards app: set personal goals, track progress, join challenges, earn health rewards. Healthier SG's own published order lists taking part in recommended programmes and activities via Healthy 365 at step three, after registration and the first doctor visit. The app supports the scheme rather than standing in for it. [2] [1]

What Healthy 365 is built to do

HPB frames the app around small everyday adjustments: set personal goals, follow your progress, join challenges and earn health rewards. Users sign up for health challenges and programmes to earn Healthpoints and convert healthier actions into rewards, and the app pairs with fitness tracking devices to log daily steps and time spent on active exercise. [3] [2]

There is a shopping layer too. You can scan a QR code in participating outlets to earn Healthpoints on healthier meals, drinks and groceries. Useful, certainly, but what it records is a points balance. Nothing in that trail touches a clinic, a doctor or a plan. [3]

The order Healthier SG publishes

Healthier SG is a Ministry of Health initiative built around preventive care, and its official sequence starts with registration. Eligible residents receive an SMS invitation from MOH, then enrol through the HealthHub mobile app or web portal, or at participating Healthier SG GP clinics or enrolment stations. Choosing your preferred Healthier SG-registered clinic belongs to this same step rather than a later one. [1]

Step two is the doctor. You book a first Healthier SG Health Plan consultation at your enrolled clinic, where key vitals — height, weight, a blood pressure reading — are measured and your medical history assessed. You then discuss health goals and co-develop a personalised Health Plan, which can cover recommended screenings, vaccinations, lifestyle adjustments and, for chronic conditions, personalised targets with a follow-up plan. The next annual check-in is scheduled on HealthHub. [1]

Subsidies take the price question off the table: the first Health Plan consultation and the annual check-ins that update your plan are fully subsidised. At least one check-in a year is recommended, done in person or over the phone, and for those with one or more chronic conditions the doctor will recommend at least two visits in the year. [1]

Healthy 365 appears only at step three, alongside viewing your Health Plan and your goals on HealthHub. Read in that order, the app is the follow-through layer for a plan somebody helped you write, not the way in. [1]

The Healthpoints run the other way

HPB's Healthy 365 pages make the direction of travel unusually plain. As an enrolment benefit, Healthier SG participants who have completed their first Health Plan consultation will receive $20 worth of Healthpoints on the Healthy 365 app, to be redeemed within 12 months of that first consultation. The credit arrives because a consultation happened, not because steps were counted. [2]

A second benefit works the same way. Qualifying for a one-off $10 worth of Healthpoints takes two actions: attend an in-person annual Health Plan check-in in the year or years following your first consultation, and then view your updated Health Plan on HealthHub. Both must fall inside the qualifying period of 1 July 2026 to 31 December 2029, terms and conditions apply, and the credit is then credited to your Healthy 365 account. [2]

So the assumption behind the question runs backwards. The clinic step unlocks the points; the points do not unlock the clinic step. A Healthpoints balance is evidence of app activity at most, and these two clinic-linked credits are the clearest published proof that the reward track follows the consultation rather than the other way round. [2]

Who it covers, and what comes after signing up

Healthier SG launched in July 2023 for Singapore citizens and permanent residents aged 60 and above, and was expanded progressively to residents aged 40 and above from October 2023. Enrolment has moved quickly since: CNA reported that MOH said more than 1.27 million people had enrolled as at 2 June 2025, slightly more than half of the 2.2 million Singapore residents aged 40 and above recorded in June 2024. [4]

The harder number is follow-through. Several GPs told CNA that some patients struggle to stay motivated and stick to their plan. Registering takes one sitting; the annual review is the part that decides whether a plan changes anything. [4]

One practical suggestion of ours, not an official requirement: before assuming you are on the scheme, open your HealthHub profile and check whether a Health Plan is sitting there. An app habit leaves no such record, so a step streak tells you nothing about your status either way. [1]

If there is no plan, the route is short: register through HealthHub or at a participating clinic or enrolment station, choose the clinic you prefer, then book the first consultation, which is fully subsidised. Keep logging your steps, but let the goals in your plan be the ones a doctor has reviewed with you. [1]

Beyond that, the plan is a conversation with your doctor at your check-ins, not a score on your phone. [1]
